What is Sandbox?

Discovery Education Sandbox is an app that allows users to experience, build, and explore in augmented reality. Designed as a companion to the acclaimed Discovery Education Experience learning platform, it brings immersive technology and content into educational settings. Users can choose from a wide selection of models to create virtual worlds for sharing with classmates and instructors. The app also features a life-size mode that enables users to walk inside their creations.

Subscribers of Discovery Education Experience or Espresso will have access to additional features like adding teacher audio descriptions to sandboxes, incorporating links to self-curated resources on Experience or Espresso, integration with studio boards, and forthcoming model pack releases.
